Woodstock's Current Open Secret
I've received this a number of times now in my email and it appears based on the recipient lists in the various emails that it has been circulated to hundreds of Woodstock residents, but nary a peep in our local publications. While Mr. Paquette is due his defense to the charges, after sitting on this for awhile I decided to post it as it is public information and Mr. Paquette is an elected official. My understanding is that the arrest rose from an accident on County Road late one evening where the truck ended up in a front yard where it was stopped from hitting the residence by the exposed well cap- totaling the truck. See the Pending Case Detail (PDF).
A search of the pending docket today reveals no results- why? It hasn't appeared in any of the papers- why?

14-224(b) is noted as evading responsibility (hit and run) following involvement in accident resulting in non-serious physical injury or property damage. This offense comes with a 90 day license suspension and penalties listed below.
Subsection (g) notes that any person who violates the provisions of subsection (b) or (c) of this section (14-224) shall be fined not less than seventy-five ($75) dollars nor more than six hundred dollars ($600) or be imprisoned not more than one (1)year or be both fined and imprisoned, and for any subsequent offense shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than one thousand ($1000) dollars or imprisoned not more than one (1) year or be both fined and imprisoned.
Wow- Doesn't Woodstock have an ethics pledge?
This is a serious offence for a public offical to be charged. He could face a year in prison. I guess evading responsibilty is OK if you are an elected offical.
Rick- Just figuring that out? Ha! The good 'ol boys are back! (You are right though).
I believe your answer lies within the heading at the top of this page "woodstocktruth.com- Propaganda is the executive arm of the invisible government" always has...always will unless we fix it but the money that controls that arm of government is never ending and infinite. You can't compete with this type of power and even if you could in fact weed out the corruption that you stumbled upon you would have to be in power yourself. By the time you had the reigns to fix opposing forces would have you elected out of office due to the nature of the election cycle. It CAN'T be done, many many many others have tried and end up realizing the neverending cycle of manipulation and utter disregard for the general population and in the the end our own ego gets the better of you.
THIS IS the United States of America and the cancer is from within not unlike all governments in history. Ours is just one of the largest of all time since civilization itself started back in time. Controlling the masses is the goal and controlling the local media plays a part in that role of government.
Congrats on being probably one of the few that understood my meaning when choosing the tag line...I can dream can't I?
